About Us
AllSportsRanking brings together official national team and individual world rankings from many sports in one central website, free to browse in 50 languages.
How it started
AllSportsRanking began as a personal need. I have always loved sports and follow my national teams whenever they compete, whether that is a major world cup event in football, rugby or cricket, or just a regular test match where ranking points are earned or exchanged.
My name is Alan, and I am half Italian and half Dutch, so I have always looked at how the sports traditions of the two countries compare and how good they are at each sport.
Every time, I found myself opening one official federation website after another to see where my country stood in that sport's world ranking.
Out of curiosity and personal need, I wanted one central website where all those rankings could be found together. AllSportsRanking is that website.
What would combined rankings say?
While collecting the rankings, I kept asking myself: what if these rankings could be combined? What would that say about the sports culture, mentality and infrastructure of a country?
That question is why the site also shows combined overall rankings for team sports, individual sports and all sports together, each for combined, men and women. Every ranking list counts the same, and in individual sports each country is placed by its best-ranked player or pair.
Comparing countries is also why the site has a Compare page, where you can put countries like Italy and the Netherlands side by side across every sport. Compare
Where the data comes from
All rankings come from the official websites of the sports federations that publish them, such as FIFA, World Rugby, the ICC, the FIVB, World Aquatics and World Lacrosse. Lists are kept in their published order with their official points, ratings and units. No position is edited and no official value is changed.
AllSportsRanking is an independent website and is not affiliated with any of these federations.
Keep it growing
The site keeps growing with new sports, variations and languages. If you spot an error, a missing sport or have an idea for the site, the Contact page is open and every suggestion is welcome.
